GLS-SEPM awards one graduate and one undergraduate "best student paper" awards each year at the North-Central Section meeting of the Geological Society of America (GSA). The winning students and their research titles are listed below.
2019 Award Winners
Best Undergraduate Student Paper ($100)
Sierra Kindley (Augustana College), Identifying spatial variance in the geochemistry of shallow marine systems: A study of Grand Cayman.
Best Graduate Student Paper ($100)
Brenna Halverson (University of Missouri), Cooking with salt 2.0: Thermal perturbations caused by salt diapirs, and the ramifications for the maturation of surrounding hydrocarbons.
